Seafog

#1 Postby CajunMama » Fri Feb 03, 2006 1:54 am

Extremely foggy here tonight in southern LA. I went outside and couldn't see beyond 100 feet. A local tv station had a scroll saying visibility was down to 150 feet due to seafog. Last time we had fog like this there were 2 wrecks on I-49 that involved 83 vehicles. I hope everyone drives with extreme caution.

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A DENSE
FOG ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT UNTIL 9 AM CST
FRIDAY.

...DENSE FOG HAS STARTED TO DEVELOP OVER THE MARSHES OF SOUTHERN
LOUISIANA AND IS EXPECTED TO MOVE NORTHWARD DURING THE
NIGHT.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...
USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.
