ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) -- A teenage amputee has her legs back. Melissa Huff's mother found the prosthetic limbs in her unlocked car, which she had parked outside the girl's high school in Arcadia, California.
Huff's right leg was amputated below the knee after she was struck by a car two years ago. In November, a burglar stole a $12,000 cosmetic leg from her home. It was returned in January, tossed into the family's back yard.
But on Valentine's Day somebody stole the leg again, along with the 16-thousand-dollar "sports leg" that the 16-year-old uses to play softball.
Huff says the returned legs are damaged but usable.
