At link you can see the concentration of the small quakes in the first 3 days of March.No reports of damage nor fatalities in the U.S Virgin Islands,British Virgin Islands or in Puerto Rico.I haven't felt any of them at my condo.

I didn't knew about this until I heard about it in the radio at the car. I hope that this activity is not a precursor of a big one. :eek:

In this area not a usual thing for that many concentrated quakes to occur in a short period of time.

Maybe not for Puerto Rico or the V.I. but such earthquake swarms are relatively commonplace in CA-particularly the LA Basin where they lead to media speculation about whether the "big One" is coming. To put this into perspective it would take about 30000 mag 3's to equal the energy release of one mag 6. That said, sometimes swarms DO preceed a bigger shock but it's not a reliable precursor.
