#1 Postby therock1811 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 3:04 am

This is Illinois and Indiana's Severe Weather Awareness Week and Kentucky's Severe Weather Awareness Month. Tornado drills will be conducted in all three states in the next 48 hours. The times are as follows(All info is courtesy NWS offices throughout the three states):

Kentucky: TODAY between 9:50am and 10:10am EST/8:50 and 9:10am CST
Indiana: Wednesday March 8 (Two Drills)
10-10:30am EST and 7-7:30pm EST/9-9:30am and 6-6:30pm CST
Illinois: TODAY 10am CST
Be advised that should tornado sirens sound during these times, these are ONLY drills unless otherwise advised.

Thanks Jeremy. Even though I'm in IN, a test warning came through NOAA radio today but no sirens, apparently because I'm in the Paducah CWA. I suppose tomorrow when IN has their drill, my NOAA radio won't test, but the sirens will. Ugh, Evansville is always the "black sheep cousin" no one wants to talk about.

Were you in Kentucky at the time? Or can you usually hear the Kentucky sirens from Evansville?
