So what comes next for Oz?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

So what comes next for Oz?

#1 Postby Rod Hagen » Fri Mar 31, 2006 12:35 am

Glenda is no more. Wiki did a bender and headed for the kiwis. Floyd flirted with us for a while and then went west. Larry did its stuff, and the evil that it did lives after it.

I see from one of the other threads , though, that northern Australia is still sitting in one of the hottest pools of water on the planet at present.

So what can we expect over the next few weeks?

Cheers

if a system gets going there is definately potential.

ALso NW Australia has seen multiple severe cyclones in same season before

and even in APril they have been recorded.

Tropical Cyclone Rosita

that was the 2nd intense cyclone to strike WA that season after Chris in the December

OK, we are still within the period when we get hit over here. Yes, there is something developing a bit NW of WA.

Anything else we should be worried about? How is the Pacific looking?

Nothing to worry about in the SW Pacific at the moment. http://www.met.gov.fj/aifs_prods/0641.html
