It's a boring time in the Kingdom of the Tropics

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

It's a boring time in the Kingdom of the Tropics

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Sat Apr 15, 2006 1:18 pm

Well, there is no prospective in the Atlantic that at least is worth a word of any discussion, and around the world it's the same story. Lets just enjoy this peaceful time because as summer heats up, the same will happen with the tropics. By the way, historically speaking, the first named system in the EPAC is about a month or so away.

I was at the beach today in Boca Raton and there was bright blue sky all across the the coastline of South Florida. There probably wasn't a cloud for 5000 miles out in the Atlantic it is so quiet right now.

But I was also thinking - we have another 1 1/2 months until the season begins - so things could change quickly... for now I am just enjoying the tropical blue skies 8-)

I personally hope after last year that this year is a boring hurricane season. I frankly wouldn't mind a season like 1997 or even 1914 (only one TS that year, did not become a hurricane).
