If you loved the Beverly Hillbillies, I am sad to say that Buddy Ebsen a/k/a Jed Clampett passed away.

I will miss him and his "Hoo Doggie" Rest in peace Uncle Jed.

It's a very sad day in this household, and my dad's. I grew up enjoying Uncle Jed saying "Well Doggies" (which I occasionally utter myself); along with Elly May's critters, Jethro Bodine the 007 Spy with a 6th grade education, and Granny's vittles :)

Buddy Ebsen was a major reason The Beverly Hillbillies is my favorite tv show. He was a wonderful and very talented man...a kindhearted gentleman that will be missed by so many of us...the fans, especially those of us throughout the south that grew up feeling as if he was our very own "Uncle Jed" :)

God Bless You Mr Ebsen...Rest in Peace my friend :)

Buddy was a great actor. He will be missed. :( I don't think Jethro's education was as high as a 6th grade level though. :)

I for one, will miss him terribly, he was my favorite actor. He was the spitting image of my father, I swear, you could have stood them side by side and couldn't them apart, as I've said before, everyone has a twin somewhere in the world. Rest in Peace Jed.........
