Nail Polish
Are you wearing blues and greens, etc. in nail polish?
I am too conservative, won't do it.

Nope, wouldn't really go over well at the law office where I work <g>; my employer has very definite ideas about how employees should look. If I do polish them I usually wear a light pink - I think the one I have right now is for french manicures.
My fingernails are so weak anyway that they break off as soon as they start growing a little bit over the edge of my finger. To me, short, short nails look silly when they are polished bold colors. (talk about conservative!)

Yes, I agree with you. I see a lot of stars, etc. with really short manicured nails. They just seem to wear either a clear or really light color. Looks nice.
I used to always were artificial nails from the salon. But since working on the house, I have not for a couple year. I want to get back to them tho. I keep them fairly short, but my nails are like yours, weak.

Yes, I love them. You have to make sure you find a really good salon. You will have to get them filled in every two weeks, but it is a nice luxury for yourself and your hands really look nice. I am lucky, I have a good girl. Mine have never fallen off or chipped.
They just look tacky when ready for a refill, lol.

I don't wear nail polish very often. However, last year at work we didn't have to wear hosiery with slacks or long skirts or dresses. That meant I could SAFELY wear sandals during the summer and I started painting my toe nails. I usually use rose or mauve colors. They're better suited for my skin color.

Fingernails: clear or the "pink" from a French manicure kit
Toenails: mild shades of peach, pink, or mauve
My hands/fingers/fingernails as well as toes/toenails are (proportionately) on the small side. Although my nails are strong, I keep them short and squarish. Deep colors look ridiculous on them.
