Tropical Storm Force Wind Gusts Due to Tropical Wave

#1 Postby Tampa Bay Hurricane » Sun Jul 02, 2006 4:06 pm

Tropical Storm Force Wind Gusts moved through my area...some strong storms in association with a tropical
wave moving into Florida from the Bahamas produced tropical storm force
wind gusts:

Wind gusts over 40 mph were recorded near the Sunshine Skyway
and over Tampa Bay:
Additionally: Gusts to near 50 mph are possible as these storms move offshore:

A FAST MOVING GUST FRONT HAS ADVANCED AHEAD OF THESE STORMS AND WAS
23 MILES WEST OF EGMONT KEY. COASTAL WATERS WEST OF TAMPA BAY MAY
SEE WIND GUSTS TO 45 KNOTS. EXPECT VERY HIGH WAVES. IF AT SEA...GO
BELOW DECK UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. OTHERS SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT.
