Seasons Which Didn't Have Many Storms Until August

#1 Postby Hybridstorm_November2001 » Tue Jul 11, 2006 4:14 pm

I'm fed up with all the "season is over" threads. I think a few people here need to take a look at the below seasons. I'll just stick to the last ten years, for my examples:

Image
The year of the Monster killers Georges and Mitch

Image
The year of the monster Hurricane Floyd, TS Harvey which gave the Maritimes near record flooding, and of course Hurricane Irene that put a major hurt of Florida

Image
The year of strange Hurricane Michael

Image
The year of the hybridstorm that put a hurt Atlantic Canada and Eastern New England

Image
The year of Hurricane Lili, the storm that almost beat Katrina to the punch

Image
The year Florida was hammered not once, not twice, but FOUR times.

What did they all have in common you ask, why not many storms formed before August of course 8-)

I know that those years started late...But this year is not the same an no way.

I agree with wxman57 thinking...Also I thought this way going all the way back to March. But in no way I'm forecasting a slow season with 15 named storms. Just that it could turn out even slower then that....Just noting it thats all. I also posted something like this a week ago.
