This is such a timely repost for those who want to "hunker down" instead of evacuating. If this gets even one person to reconsider and evacuate then it's priceless. Thanks!

Every other time this was posted I said the same thing, and I will say it again. The Cat. 1 damage depicted in this animation is far from correct. Here is what a "real" cat. 1 force wind will do:

Ya Extreme.. It obviously isnt an exact science. A cat one gust can do plenty that is for sure. I just think it is a nice visual.
Thanks for posting those pics though. Helps people realize that it can be very very stupid to stay during any hurricane.. No matter what the strength
