Theta-e data over the last several days has indicated that the convection located over and around the Bahamas will not move much, in any direction, as there haven't been any very well defined theta-e ridges (or theta-e troughs) for a long enough period of time.

It makes sense that there haven't been any such ridges and troughs with a stationary from from extreme northern Oklahoma to southwestern Virginia/northwestern North Carolina border.

The surface cold front continues eastward from this point along the Virginia/North Carolina border, continuing along the rest of the Virginia/North Carolina border out into the western Atlantic east-northeast to northeastward to an area of low pressure off the Massachusetts coast.

There is no way a low [no matter what its strength] over the Bahamas can move due north with a frontal system set up in this fashion.
