Some of the models look to be sling-shotting this NE to the mid Atlantic and developing it. But all look like it will be pushed off to the NE...developed or not.

We can use the rain up here. We haven't had even .5" of rain this month. This is after a July that gave us up to 8 - 10 inches of rain. I guess it's Ma Nature's way of balancing things out.

No, if anything it would be pushed to the southwest by a ridge setting up along the east coast!!!

we're getting plastered by rain here in Charleston! It feels "tropical" around here today :)

It certainly looks very good on still satelite... but on loop I can't tell if theres much in the way of a good circulation.

I'm talking about the new wave coming out of Africa. Two disturbances, one close to North America, the other close to Africa!!!

There is an old cold front in place, therefore, I wouldn't be surprised to see a system develop in a few days if conditions allow it.

Maybe nothing tropical but this disturbance did produce a few funnel clouds in Northeast Florida earlier.
..A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTHEAST ST.
JOHNS AND SOUTHEAST DUVAL COUNTIES FOR POSSIBLE FUNNEL CLOUDS VALID
UNTIL 1100 AM EDT...

AT 1016 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM CENTERED 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF UNF...MOVING EAST AT 20
MPH. THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE OVER AREAS AROUND
ARLINGTON...BAYARD...UNF...SAN PABLO...PALM VALLEY...NEPTUNE BEACH...
JACKSONVILLE BEACH...PONTE VEDRA BEACH...SAWGRASS AND GUANA RIVER
STATE PARK THROUGH 1100 AM EDT. DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED WEAK
ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM...AND FUNNEL CLOUDS OR WATERSPOUTS MAY
DEVELOP WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
