August 29, 2006..The one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. We all know the entire story, but do you know the scars? There are so many. It is only appropriate to take a moment, on this day, and think of those that are still suffering...in so many ways. Many don't even share their suffering, but, to reflect on the devastating event that happened one year ago along the Gulf Coast in our country, I thought it would be appropriate to share the thoughts of those that hold the future of America and experienced this tragedy...in the words of the children. Here are the winners of the Children's Katrina Essay Contest, announced just this evening, August, 28, 2006. I'm providing links to the essays.
