Unfortunately, I have zero talent at cake decorating. If you ever saw my few attempts at a layer cake, you'd see why...

I went to a cake decorating store yesterday that has that fondant icing in sheets that you can just roll out and decorate as you wish. Pretty cool looking - I wonder how it tastes??

Sis, on this particular episode she showed how to make flowers from the fondant icing!! Can't wait to try it. Fondant tastes okay, you can add flavoring to it as well.

Wow! Thanks sunny! I bookmarked that site for the next time I get a creative urge - it does happen once in a while. :D That one is nicely detailed so I can actually understand what the stuff is and why it works, or not, under different conditions.

Fondant is easy to work with. And the cakes come out so pretty :D I used to make ALL of the cakes in the family and Jen, I have a BIG family so that was a lot of cakes! Don't have the time for all of them any more. But my niece, Katie, has picked up my love for it and she does a better job than I do :D Now that she is living down here with her crew, we are going to do the sugar eggs at Easter - Katie hasn't learned that yet!
