Help! I can't stop eating chocolate!

#1 Postby southerngale » Fri Dec 29, 2006 1:42 am

York mints, Reese's miniatures, Peanut M&M's, Hershey's miniatures, Peanut Butter Kisses, chocolate bells, etc. I can't stop eating it.

A lot of people gain weight during the holidays. Not me. I was so busy, I lost a few pounds. But if I don't stop eating all this chocolate, someone is gonna have to send Santa my way to airlift me out of this chair!

I've been having this problem for a long time, but I think it's gotten worse lately.

It doesn't help that I can sit in this chair, reach over and get more. :P

I got so much chocolate for christmas. I can relate. The peanut butter kisses are going to be my downfall. The cashews don't help either.

Instead of chocolate mine is the fruity candy. Skittles, starburst, jelly belly jellybeans. Esp the jelly belly, I can eat almost a whole bag in one sitting. Yet, even with my major sweet tooth, I am down from a size 7 jeans to a size 5! Weird!

Happy-happy-joy-joy, happy-happy-joy-joy!...LOL, I escaped the
chocolate parade during the holidays, this year - I made sure that
I was WAY TOO BUSY to eat treats brought into the office!

HIGH-Five for ME!

The real question is why you think you should stop!

My answer to the dilemma of wondering if there is such a thing as eating too much chocolate comes from a little plaque I bought for my sis, who's an incredible choco-holic:

"I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!"

Kelly - here's a suggestion - chill the chocolate! We sometimes keep a candy bowl in the fridge. When I chill Hershey kisses or M & M's, they're harder to bite into and I tend to eat fewer. We also chill Milky Way's which makes it easier to slice them in half, saving the rest of a candy bar for later.

Also, if you had Baby Boomer teeth like mine, you'd eat less and very carefully I might add! LOL I just look at chewy candy and an old filling about falls out. So be glad you can chew all this candy!!!!
