How is this possible?!
MADRID, Spain - A 67-year-old woman has given birth to twin sons in the northern city of Barcelona, a hospital official said.
The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, gave birth Friday by Caesarian section, according to an official at Sant Pau hospital who spoke on condition of anonymity because of hospital policy.
The mother and twins all were doing well though the newborns were both in incubators, the official said.

I don't really think it is fair for the child. She will be 85 by the time the kid graduates high school! And she won't be able to do much with her kid at that age. I know quite a few women that get pregnant in their 40's while getting close to menopause. My aunt had a baby at 42 and it was unplanned. My uncle had a vasectomy and everything. At 46, she is chasing around a very active 4-year old little boy. My boyfriend is 26 and his little brother just turned 5. His mom is now 46 (almost 47)

That is almost unbelievable! I could not even imagine a 98 year old still doing the deed to get pregnant if you know what I mean. I wonder what ever happened to the baby? That is very shocking!

A 98 year old lady may already have a 60 or even a 70 year old son or daughter.Could you imagine being 60 or 70 years old and having a newborn sister/brother?????Cookiely wrote:I once had a patient who was pregnant at the age of 98 years old. ROFL! That is so funny! Acutually when my great-grandmother was in her 90's and had Alzheimers and was in the nursing home, this is what she would say... Don't let any men walk by me. I am going to end up pregnant. I am very fertile. The nurses got a kick out of it! Poor Maw-Maw, rest her soul!Aquawind wrote:98! Kudos to her for still acknowledging her womanly desires. We shouldn't stop being human when we reach retirement age or beyond.
As for the sentiment of feeling sorry for the children of older, more well-established (emotionally and financially) parents:
It's not fair for children to be born to abusive young mothers and fathers, but it still happens.
