Just a *little*

But since 2006 was such a great year for me and my friends (high school exams 'cum laude', accepted at a good university and still healthy), we had something to celebrate.

Bingo! Drink lots of water and take two multivitamins. It's about the same effect as a "banana bag" or "rally pack" IV as we used to call it in the ER.

The hangover is a result of the alcohol dehydrating your body, so you need to replenish fluids and vitamins and thiamine. I've only tried it once since I've only been drunk once (wouldn't even really classify it as "drunk" since I got tired so quickly and went right to bed :) - Fourth of July 2003). Nevertheless, it worked. I woke up the next morning at 7:30 and had already gone grocery shopping and done laundry when my best friend called to check on me. Couldn't believe I was already up and "alive."

sounds like a lot of happy New Years eves. I am usually the driver, but this year we got a room mostly because we were in New Orleans for the game and just because I am not drinking and driving others aren't. I am so happy I got to party instead of having to be the level headed one.

azsnowman, very cool of your wife to be the dis driver for the evening.

My last hangover was this past November and it will be my last one for a long, long time if I can pull it off! I had been on a family women's trip to Chicago and we all had such a fun time our last night there, I threw caution to the wind - starting with wine, then beer and topping the night or morning off depending upon how you look at it, with Irish coffee. I should have stayed with wine and stopped at 2 or 3 glasses. Anyway, that was a fun drive home to Cincy - not! When this holiday season rolled around I knew better than to drink more than 3 drinks a party and pace myself with soda in between. A hangover is not fun, when you're older. Well it's not fun - ever! Each time, I lose a day or two and that's what kills you too - thinking of all the things you could do if you didn't feel so lousy......

So yeah I behaved on New Year's Eve - I'm boring but I wasn't hungover!

My boyfriend and I just ended up staying at his house most of the night to drink. I had 2 huge mugs of crown and 7-up. And only got a slight buzz. No hangover in the morning. My alcohol tolerance had went way down since I only drink about every other weekend now if that. A couple of years back, I was out at the club every weekend drinking and could drink like a fish without getting too drunk. About a month ago, we went out to Bourbon Street, and I drank a hurricane and a Hand Grenade. 2 drinks and I was hugging the toilet all night and was hungover in church the next morning which made me feel really guilty.
