My throat hurts

#1 Postby southerngale » Tue Feb 06, 2007 12:26 am

...not to mention all congested and a 100.3º fever. Anyone else got this crud that seems to be going around?

I wash and sanitize my hands all the time... I guess you just can't protect yourself from everything though.

One of our social workers here just came back after about a week of fighting whatever it is that's going around. She said when she went to the clinic, it was standing-room only.

Bad stuff out there. I hope to avoid it.

Just about over it, my hubby got it from me so I'll be getting it back. I just hope he doesn't get any sicker, ever since he had ARDS he has to watch his lungs.

Praying you get over it soon!

My daughter has this right now. I can tell it is bad since she quit talking on the phone and did not even get out of bed to check her myspace. Even the OTC medications that normally work well are not helping much

Kelly, I hope you and the other folks that are sick feel better, soon.
Handwashing is your best defense, but, sometimes, "bugs" just make it
through, anyway. Just drink, drink, drink...and rotate Tylenol and ibuprofen
for the fever, every 4-6 hours.

Get Well, everyone!

I don't get fevers. I have had 3 in my life. I also don't take anit-biotics. I do take OTC allergy meds and Municex. I hope everyone feels better as well. :D It's annoying but it hasn't made me miss work. too bad ...

2 Advil, 2 Sudafed (the good stuff they keep under the counter now) and 4 days of taking them every 4-5 hours...I'm just now feeling better today. This winter's bug is a doozy!

Drink lots of water, the only real way to cure a cold is to flush it out of your system.

Ouch Karan, take it easy. I did that when I had bronchitis....I had never coughed so much in my life.

Thanks...and I hope everyone else who is sick, gets better soon. It seems like there's a lot of people with this mess. Ugh...I feel like poo-poo.
