Any golf fans out there?

I'll be visiting the WGC-CA Championship at the Doral Resort in late March (Saturday) and check it out. It was formerly the Ford Championship last year (prior to the new Fed-Ex Cup settings this year) and it was quite interesting and enjoyable on my last visit in 2006 (and downright hot). Getting a view of the players was nearly impossible due to the heavy crowds but the amenities (refreshments) were great. I took a long walk around the course when viewing the playing fields via hole to hole before returning to the clubhouse. It's certainly a long day, and I was on the course for several hours from morning to late afternoon! I'll be leaving early in the morning once again this year (and again on a Saturday as aforementioned) and should arrive before all the players tee off at the Blue Monster. Fortunately the 18th green has a covered grandstand for relief from the warm conditions, and I'll have plenty of water as I take the long route around the course throughout the day.

Will anyone else be watching or attending the event? Are any locals here from south Florida planning to monitor or visit the tournament? I hope I'll enjoy it at the course for my second consecutive visit! Wish me luck!

8-)

By the way, my visit will be on 3/24/07 (March 24th)!

Doral should NEVER be hosting a tournament of this calabar

I was there in 2005 and the fairways and greens were soft despite no rain in about a month and there was less rough than they have at Augusta (except near a lake, God forbid a player actually rinse a shot)

The event should be at Crandon. That would pose a real test for the players

Golf fan? Na.....it's WORSE than THAT

I live, eat, sleep, work golf...if I could afford it, I'd play 24/7, only taking time out for "porta johns"!!

Tis a shame, I live in Az's high country, just a short 3 hours north of the greater Phoenix Mega Plex, home to the FBR Open...one of the finest courses in the WORLD now and this coming weekend, the BIG one in Tucson and do I go DOWN? NOOOOOOO...crime never takes a holiday sadly, thus here I sit, only dreaming of the smell of freshly mown grass, the "Call of the Greens!"
