Normal land to BOC flare up. Should die down,,,also strong wind shear with maybe a weak upper low at 20/95. Wait about 2 months.

This is a nontropical feature. It is an outflow dominant region of thunderstorms enhanced by weak surface convergence and vigorous mid-level divergence. It's associated with the surface trough and shortwave trough extending southward from the intense surface low in the eastern CONUS and a secondary surface low over Alabama.

Tropical activity will pick up the pace down the road and in the months of August and September.

Sure feels tropical on the Florida west coast tonight! Waiting for that strong front to move through after midnight. Flooding forecast for our area. I predicted our first named storm for June -- just have a hunch the tropics will ramp up early this season.

Hey Boca, nice to talk with you again. it's just about that warm here in WC Fla. Very hot and humid and the BP has steadily dropped all day. About 1009 mb now ahead of the cold front.

We have are derby car races tomorrow at a local park and I said 2 days ago to have it inside because it would be a rain out. Do they listen no. Funny thing is that the one time it rained last spring was during the derby car races.

It does look cool though,it's been growing over the past few hours.It should fizzle overnight.

If this was July,there would be a 10 page thread about this thing right now. :lol:

Opal you are right especially if the convection was about 50 miles north of Merida of the north coast of the Yucatan.

Opal; If this was here in July I'd be making reservations further north, stocking my freezer with ice and loading my evacuation trailer. LOL
