here is 8:05pm TWD about cv wave

tropical wave along 25w/26w S of 23n moving W 10-15 kt. A 1012
mb low has formed just W of the Cape Verde Islands near 17n and
is supported by available surface...ship and buoy observations
along with a 2000 UTC Quikscat pass. This wave has a broad
cyclonic envelope apparent in the stratocumulus field up to
about 23n between 35w-19w. No significant convection.

But that is way up in latitud 17n so another fish if it develops at all down the road and if development happens it will be like Danny when it formed as a low that came out of africa at a high latitud in that instance 15n.

actually, this is where CV storms can develop and with the ridge being that strong there's no reason it can't stay at that latitude for an extended period. That may not be the exact center anyhow if this develops. This isn't thrown to the fish by any means. Let's first see where (if) it develops further. Cheers!!

The #2 storm of 1915 formed near there (around 15-16N), traveled west, through the northern Caribbean, and hit Galveston, TX as a Cat 4 storm.

In 1989, Erin and Felix formed up there and headed north very quickly.
