Miracle Whip or Mayo

#1 Postby southerngale » Sat May 05, 2007 2:29 pm

I made some Suddenly Salad (ranch with bacon... love that stuff!) to go with dinner yesterday. I love Miracle Whip, but had some Kraft mayo I had bought for something or another and thought it would taste just as good in something like that. Wrong! Yuk... it wasn't nearly as good.

Miracle Whip is sooooo much better.

Sounds yummy. I always buy Hellmanns, but personally I think they all taste pretty much alike.

I prefer mayo. Normally, it's only blue plate in our house but for healthier options, I use Hellman's canola mayo.

Kraft Mayo all the way here, Miracle Whip is more like a dressing than mayo to me. May be good in pasta salad though, I guess its all what your used to.

We're a split household. I grew up with Miracle Whip thanks to my yankee parents. My husband only likes Blue Plate Mayo.

Hellmann's? Kraft? What kind of Southerners are you people?

The answer is:

Duke's Mayonnaise

Only mayo for me, I can't stand the taste of miracle whip. Oh, and the mayo has to be Blue Plate.

Kraft Mayo is my favorite. Just don't get near me with "Sandwich Spread", it makes me deathly ill. I wish I knew what they put in it that makes me so sick. Anyone else get sick from Sandwich Spread?
