Lost Photo

I had to do a cd restore... My computer locked and would not open any way at all. I have lost all my pictures, but I know they are still in the computer somewhere. I did the restore that does not remove everything. I have searched all my photo sites and no pictures. Help...........................

select Start, select search (in the bottom rigth column), where it says, What do you want to search for?, select Pictures, music, or video, check the box that says Pictures and Photos and then select the Search button. If your pictures are on your computer, that will find them.

if you cant find it that way, they arent there.

I found just a few. I searched Cats and found the cat folder. I just don't remember what I named every folder

you dont have to search by file name, just by the file format. if you search for pictures, it will find all of the pictures.

A system restore will not help. It will only go back to last week. I did a full recovery on my computer with cds. My pictures are only holding the ones I put in this past week. There are no others in my documents or picture files. I know they are in there somewhere, cause I found a few. This has happened to me before. Duh
