Interesting senario given

#1 Postby Rieyeuxs » Wed Jun 20, 2007 9:06 pm

Birmingham's long range forecast from the NWS:

THE LONG RANGE GFS IS SHOWING A TROPICAL DISTURBANCE MOVING INTO
THE GULF EARLY NEXT WEEK AND THEN HEAD TOWARDS LOUISIANA LATE
MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. THE EURO MOVES THIS SYSTEM MUCH FARTHER WEST.
THE TREND MAY BE FOR THIS SYSTEM TO MOVE WELL TO OUR WEST KEEPING
ANY BENEFICIAL RAIN AWAY FROM CENTRAL ALABAMA. WE WILL CONTINUE TO
KEEP AN EYE ON HOW THINGS PROGRESS.

Just curious if this has been mentioned elsewhere. Haven't seen any indications from the NHC. We're under extreme drought conditions and water restrictions here. Send it this way!

Yeah . . . it's been mentioned a little, but not much - it's over here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=95592
