This is the most active we have seen it all summer. A sign to come?

Yea Gatorcane i noticed that a few days ago...The ITCZ has also moved north a bit.

Yes, some nice waves coming across Africa and like Windstorm pointed out the ITCZ is starting to move North... Things may be starting to come together for our next storm before the Month is out IMHO..

Some of the convective increase is likely due to upper-divergence forced by Kelvin waves (MJO-like waves but faster)... see the plots at:

The waves are lining up like a train in Africa tonight. Also notice that the ITCZ and associated African wave train has shifted north a few degrees as of late....

We are getting closer to the Cape Verde Season and there are definite hints its approaching.... :eek:

Wow, im moving back to Florida in less than a month. This is not a good pattern for any body in tropcial waters, nontheless this has got my attention and I am anxious to see what the season will bring.
