They go back pretty early these days. I think our schools don't return till late August this year.

They have changed the starting times in the state of Florida. Most counties will start on the 20th, 21st or 22nd. This was a change for the better IMO. Hillsborough County schools (Tampa) will start on Aug. 20th. However, I have to be back to work on Aug. 6th. :(

In the good old days kids had less and learned more. Today there are too many distractions and kids waste their times in MySpace, sending text messages, video games, and other things. When I say to my frinds that I don't have and don't want a MySpace account they look at me in disbelieve!!! I don't have time to waste my time in stupid stuff.

School here in Polk County goes back on Aug 20, 2007. It pushes the getting out day back to June 3, 2008, the more traditional last day of school .

I think schools should go back to starting in September, or even the end of August. Early August just doesn't seem right. But maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

Its me senior year also, but in my case I will be doing the senior and the freshman (college) year at the same time. :) I'm going to be doing everything of both years that I can. Should be an awesome year.

See what I mean? What the heck is FALL BREAK? I don't understand!! I know in Az. students must have 180 days of school a year but with ALL the breaks, holidays etc. etc. I don't see HOW they are getting the 180 days? :?:
