Very interesting correlation

#1 Postby dhweather » Sun Aug 12, 2007 3:03 pm

I was reviewing a public information statement from the Dallas NWS, titled "...FIRST 100-DEGREE DAY OF THE YEAR AT DFW AIRPORT..." and dated 8/11/2007. They listed the latest 100 degree days and it caught my attention quickly:

DALLAS/FORT WORTH - LATEST DATE OF FIRST 100-DEGREE DAY

1 1973 NONE
1906 NONE
3 AUGUST 23, 1989 - year of Hugo
4 AUGUST 19, 1905
5 AUGUST 16, 1903
6 AUGUST 11, 2007
7 AUGUST 10, 1992 - year of Andrew
8 AUGUST 8, 1968 -
9 AUGUST 7, 1919
AUGUST 7, 1908

I find this correlation interesting. Both of those major hurricanes were long trackers.
And looking at Invest 90L and the wave behind it, it makes you wonder.

I think the one behind 90L will be one to look out for after 90L departs
