Great hurricane of 1928:in memoriam
September 12 1928,one of the greteast desaster of Guadeloupe was occuring,when a hurricane of tremendous force struck the island;more than 1200 dead....and the day after,this storm cross PRico as a categpry 5...and then after,was Florida.. In memoriam of .............

Absolutely HUC that was a huge disaster for us in Guadeloupe and a monster hurricane
We can't forget it as Hugo in September 16 1989... but this one of 1928 were very hard with more than 1200 dead, that's pretty amazing...hope it should help us to improve our way of life with theses hurricanes, it's maybe a long way when each year we have to face one....

Yes,on September 13,1928,it made landfall in Puerto Rico as a cat 5 (160 mph) causing 300 deaths and catastrophic damage.

Last year I read a fascinating history of the 1928 hurricane's impact on Florida: Killer 'Cane by Robert Mykle.
Met the author too (this was at the Miami Book Fair) - very interesting guy.
