Re: Veterans Day
In Canada, Sunday November 11 is REMEMBRANCE DAY
Remembering Canadians Who Fought and Died in War
On November 11 Canadians wear poppies and gather at war memorials across Canada to pay tribute to those who died in war. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the time the Armistice of World War I was signed in 1918, we observe two minutes of silence to remember.
As we continue to fight the war on terrorism, it is important to remember and teach about the wars in which so many Canadians died, and men and women of other nations as well.
We salute all the brave people that continue to fight for what we all believe in.

Armistice Day, commemorated by the Commonwealth countries (as Remembrance Day or Poppy Day in Australia, Canada, Britain, Malta and South Africa) around the world as well as France. Only in the U.S. is it Veterans Day (the name was changed after the second world war to include remembering those in WWII), strictly speaking Armistice Day is about WWI.

although i was in the Gulf this pass Winter from Feb thru Aug .we may have strong disagreements over war strategy but there one thing we all agree on is that we need to support our troops on the field and when they come home with a loss limb one thing they demonstrate that the price of Freedom is not Free it come at a cost and the cost is painful to there family

Well put. The rest of the world is amazed at our ability to diagree over policy and still have a stable government while having a military that does what it is told to do no matter what.
