...and you thought you were busy.

Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth...assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical).

This works out to 822.6 visits per second. This is to say that for each Christian household with good children, Santa has 1/1000th of a second to land his reindeer and sleigh, park, hop out of the sliegh, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left, get back up the chimney, get back into the sleigh and move on to the next house.
WHEW!

Happy and safe Christmas to everyone!! 8-)

You're forgetting that if Santa can establish some kind of black hole just large enough to attract each house and can, at the same time, not fall into said black hole, then he has approximately a thousandth of a second, house time, to do everything before they fall into the black hole, BUT, the house would have time that, in relation to Santa, is awfully slow, giving Santa something closer to about three years to do everything. If Santa has approximately 31 hours worth of three year equivalent milliseconds, he has about 33,480,000 YEARS to deliver all the presents.*

*This equation may or may not be based on extremely or at least somewhat faulty logic.

And for those houses without fireplaces, I would imagine it takes a little longer to jimmy the front door than to just hop down the chimney. You'd also think all the cookies and milk would slow him down, but no.... he gets the job done. Santa is incredible. Image
