Winter related issue

One thing that makes me mad is properties that leave the irrigation system running when it is way below freezing and decide to water the street. I saw two accidents this morning alone from this. Sorry if I am on a soap box, but that is stupidity.

It is stupid if it's getting the street wet.. Some people leave them on during marginal conditions when it's going to be near or just below freezing for a few hours so the pipes don't freeze. If it's going to be below freezing for more than a few hours they should be winterizing it for the season. I imagine someone has been sued for icing up the roadways/sidewalks and causing an accident somewhere..
