All right, I have heard this from several different weather boards. They all seem to say that the storm that will effect the Mid-Atlantic. Now I don't care about snow totals or intensity, I live in Central New Jersey in Northern Ocean County. I know it's the Northeast, but not New England, what is my region considered. What could I see

Let's see what the ECMWF model says tonight, and then MAYBE we will be able to start speculating. It would be better to hold off on any possible accumulation forecasts until early next week - when the situation will become clearer.

oh no, I know that it's too far out for snow totals, but I wanted to know if the heavy snow could make it to my region of Central NJ in Ocean County. In the past when this kind of thing happened, we saw substantile snow, also what is my area considered?

I would say your area is the northern Mid-Atlantic. And there is good potential for a storm in the 1/14-1/15 time frame. But I really want to see what the Euro's take is before fully jumping on board.

I agree...there is a possibility of a good storm 1/14-1/15. The details will be determined at a later date...but for now, it looks like a good storm for RIC to NYC...and maybe BOS.

Yes, Central New Jersey is the northern Mid-Atlantic, (as well as a portin of the Northeast).

New England is a six state region, consisting of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

I think it depends how much cold air comes in. The more cold air that comes in before the storm, it will force the storm further south. I think Boston is least likely to see a heavy snowfall out of all the major cites along the I-95 corridor. The Euro last night though has further north though weaker, that even Boston would see heavy snow.
