Changes may be trending south?

#1 Postby Anonymous » Fri Jan 23, 2004 12:42 am

Weather.com is trending COLDER for the next week in Woodbridge VA!!

Man I am beginning to get so very excited about this!!!

I know it is the Greenland Block and that lovely 50/50 low and all the wonderfully cool, bracing weather they bring!!!

I am beginning to believe that the snow geese are going to get fed.

I watch in wonderment as weather.com continues to lower their temperature forecasts and I see some of their forecasts change from rain, to mix and SNOW!!!!

WOOOOOOOOO---HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is this I hear about models trending SOUTH and the heavy snow axis is shifting south toward MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA?

IS IT TRUE? Because if it is, the results for Woodbridge on Sunday/Monday would be absolutely unbelievable!!!!

***JEB pauses to catch his breath and to try and calm down......he tries to remember caution and the north trend......gotta calm down, the storm is trending north......but if it is, then why are all the forecasts trending colder? Hmmmm.......

Gotta Calm Down there Jeb......Breathe in and out......In and out........caution, caution..........the storm is NOT trending south. Where is my common sense? Of COURSE the storm is trending north........Breathe, breathe............Jeb's heart is pounding and bouncing around in the chest cavity as though it were untethered........Damn I got to CALM DOWN!!! For goodness sakes, I AM THE ONE always preaching the caution lines!! *****

I have one question.

The forecast for tonight's low is 17 degrees.

That is cool. But, there's something amiss here. It's already down to 20 degrees, and its 1253am, with 6 hours of night to go. The temperature is still falling like a rock.

EDIT!!!!!! It's down to 19 DEGREES!! Dewpoint 4 degrees!! The low is progged to hit 17!! 6 hrs of night to go!! It's 19 degrees already!! Why is it getting colder than expected?!!!!!!!!!

Something is up folks.....................................

I have a feeling we are all about to find out, soon enough.

46° here right now. BRRRRR lol
It's gonna warm up for a few days and then it's supposed to get a lot colder next week. Said lows in the 20's likely. :)

Jeb- this little clipper will be a treat tonight. Temps will NOT be a problem this time. Looking towards the Sunday event, if some snow is left on the ground it will be interesting, accumulations might be a little better due to initial sticking as opposed to evap cooling of surfaces. Ground is frozen solid.
