Quite eerie to say the least. Looks to be a masterpiece if the trailers hold true to the movie.

Looks quite interesting... I'll probably see it despite my not being a big fan of movies in general. The scene with multiple tornadoes over NYC seems to indicate it may be pretty over-the-top in the unrealistic extremity of the weather it shows, but hey, it's just a movie.

Yep we're supposed to get the global superstorm soon - no joke ! Just read another update on abrupt cooling and how fast this can come about - anywhere from 1 or 2 years to 50 years. That's quick ! And since we are so overdue anyway.............hmmm

The ice age is coming, says Zbigniew Jaworowski, world-renowned atmospheric scientist and mountaineer, who has excavated ice out of 17 glaciers on six continents in his 50-year career. The shift from warm to cool climate might have already started, says Jaworowski.

Seeing the new trailer leads me to believe at least that SOME meteorological input was put into the making of this movie ... especially viewing the part with the polar icecaps melting and disrupting the North Atlantic Conveyor Belt ... which is still in theory, but at the very least, research was done into this movie ...

Either way, I'm as good as there on the movie release...

I can't wait for this movie, but didn't realize this was a "need to save the day" kinda movie. I guess I just wanted 2 hours of weather disasters lol.

There is evidence that the thermohaline circulation has been vastly different in the past (either reversed or completely stopped), and there are some interesting theories on why this occurs, but no one really knows for sure. So, there are scientific grounds to this film.

And the tornados are over Los Angeles, not NYC... which makes it even more over the top. Though, an interesting bit of trivia is that the LA Basin does get the most F0 and F1 tornados per area than anywhere in the US.
