In my opinion the satellite loop this afternoon looks
promising no matter what the models say.

That is mostly mid level moisture and it is very dry below the moisture plume. Most of what falls will evaporate before it reaches the surface.

Is it still possible that the little low or whatever it may be could form more towards or move more towards the north over time. It just seems by looking at sat. loops the general direction would be toward the north gulf states. I know I'm stretching it, but just hoping and wishing.

Check out this loop. Nice plume of moisture feeding up the southern jet. Last few frames are a little wacky, so do a five or ten frame loop.

ETA is a little more interesting in 00Z run for Texas. Still offshore, but a close call. Closer than the last run.
