Don't even start, bro ... don't even start. I have a litany of "cold rain" stories.

I don't think Austin was ever mentioned for snow...

We weren't ... my point was that I could bore you to tears with the number of times Austin missed out on snow/ice and got cold rain. My misery is well documented in the archive of this forum.

I'm content with my cold rain. In fact, I'm about to go outside and build a cold rainman.

Print, cut, attach to a stake and hammer into your yard.

I am in Tomball and I have been missed more times than I can count---several times to the SOUTH!

Along the Red River, Sherman/Denision are at 33/34 with decent precip. Gainesville at 35 with decent clip of precip and Bonham at 37.

EDIT: CONFIRMED reports of all snow in Wolfe City and Pilot Point. Snow on the ground in Ridgeway just north of Commerce/Greenville. And Snow/Sleet/Light rain mix in Denton.

I have a dusting of sleet or snow covering the ground (just looked out the window haven't went outside yet). 9:30 a.m. Temperature almost 32 degrees.

I know I am an outlier here :D but it is sleeting hard and an occasional snowflake. Sleet is starting to stick to the ground.

Txagwxman - why are we in Tomball colder than places to our NW. I checked and we are colder than Brenham, Waco, Austin, etc... What accounts for this?

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this snow does not have the same feel as the storms of last year. Still fun to look at while it falls. I hope I am wrong.

The good news is the temp has dropped here in McKinney to 34. Looking out the window I see rain though. Maybe a few flurries mixed in, but very few.

I'm glad I found this forum. My parents live on the coast, so I imagine I'll be here a lot during hurricane season too. And for storms up here. So basically...a lot. :grrr:
