It's cold enough here that my puppies won't even go outside. This would've been nice over Christmas but we take what we can get!

I know this is supposed to fade but man it's getting good lift out there. Blizzard conditions in Lubbock right now with quarter mile visibility and heavy snow.

Hey! That's not fair. Dallas is at freezing already. We're still at 55 degrees here.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

I'm laughing at you, cold front. Still 75 degrees here in southwest Houston - a perfect January evening. You'll never get me, cold front! :firedevil:

There is a 71 degree difference in the temperature in the panhandle to Brownsville. Incredible.

My weather station lost connection somehow, but it is likely in the 20s now. Crazy.

OK, I'm ready for the cold. My mother's adjustable Tempurpedic bed (with massage), her minions blanket, my wife's cat blanket, mother's cat Oreo, big blue heating pad on my pillow and red electric blanket. Heating pad is always "on", no matter what that temperature. Helps my shoulders feel better. I have another electric blanket, if needed. Big screen TV is on the wall across from the foot of the bed. You can see its reflection in my photo of comet Hale-Bopp. Tropical Tidbits on my 32" work monitor next to my laptop. Alienware Aurora desktop to the left of my laptop. Try and get me, cold weather!

Lucky. It’s supposed to snow to the north, west, and south of me but the Appalachians essentially block the snow for me. Buford Ga never gets snow.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.
