Yay for all of us in DFW and Northeast Texas! :ggreen:

At 4:30 this morning I was afraid this wasn't a sight I was going to see today.

Around 11:00 sleet mixed with rain, by 11:20 it was all sleet and getting a some piles of white on some rooftops and the grass already. Now it's just snowing. :cheesy: It's still 35° but the sleet is sticking around and we ought to get a dusting on the grass soon.

This is happening a few hours earlier than I'd anticipated it. And we look to have several hours more of precip, maybe past sunset....if we can avoid being dry slotted by that area down along I-45, we could still get some nice totals out of this.

There's very high reflectivity Tarrant county and west. Once that passes through (and holds together) I'd say more than just a coating.

I'd like to think so, but the radar doesn't look like it'd be here past sunset. WHO KNOWS THOUGH! Just going to enjoy the sight and see what happens. You can't worry while it's happening. We have done that enough with this storm.

Sure it ain't the snow we had last year, but it's nice.

I don't know about sunset, but if the low continues the process of cutting off, we're at a slight neutral tilt, which will keep the precip shield spinning around the same places for awhile longer.

Yeah it's really starting to stick now so I think we'll make it to an inch! This is looking a lot better than it was three hours ago.

Possible. If this were to happen we would definatly have our 1-3".
