There was supposedly some snow on Xmas '04 in Biloxi that amounted to around an inch (probably an exaggeration). I live across the bridge and we had about a half inch of sleet accumulate - saw no snow. Prior to that, there was a dusting back in 96 or 97 - it just doesn't snow south of I-10 down here in any appreciable amount.

Im trying to find the cord for my camera. heaviest snow I've ever seen falling right now and strong echos on the radar headed this way. FFC upgraded to a winter storm warning for N GA. got about 3 inches on the groung now and possibly 3 more hours of heavy snow to come! looks like GFS wasnt too far off yesterday calling for 5 inches around ATL

Canton, GA... We were just upgraded from Winter Weather Advisory, to Winter Storm Warning. Not Good, no one prepared for this.. We are about an hour north of Atlanta. For the past 3 days the local mets kept saying that nothing was going to happen north of Atlanta, just a light dusting... they kept saying all the activity was going to be south of Atlanta around Macon, they didn't even send the kids home early from school. The weather has deteriorated and the roads are becoming icy.. snow is falling heavier than before. Not safe to be driving around, especially since this is a mountainous community and the school buses haven't had a chance to drop off the kids yet... NOT GOOD!!!!
