Nothing is safe to say right now.
Looks quite promising as we are approaching within 12-24 hours time frame
lol and it looked quite promising we would get nothing 12-24 hours ago.
P.S. I have to be negative so I won't be disappointed.

That's fair. Should this happen it would be the first white Christmas for north Texas in a long time, probably longer than any of us have been alive.

HAVE UPDATED THE TAFS TO INCLUDE THE MENTION OF SNOW IN THE METRO
TAFS FROM 15 TO 20Z. MODELS CONTINUE TO INDICATE THE UPPER LOW
MOVING FURTHER SOUTH AND THIS WILL BRING SNOW TO THE AREA. THIS
WILL MAKE TRAVELING VERY HAZARDOUS GIVEN THE STRONG WINDS
EXPECTED BEHIND THE FRONT.

iam putting the above warning b/c iam not sure its right iam quite busy over here
rightnow but looking @ the latest gfs coming in it seems to slow this system WAY
up and have snow lingering into christmas morning up till almost midday from what
i can see across a large portion of the area... i will follow up in a few if someone does
before then great

Re: Texas winter wx thread (2009-2010)
How will this latest information out of DFW and the tracking of the low affect north east Texas for winter weather?

I have a gut feeling, the warnings might expand further east along the I-20/I-30 counties north.

Thanks for the updates folks. And msstateguy83 has been bold on this since last week. If this pans out, I think some serious cred is flowing his way.
He's not the only one...lol
Been watching this patteren take shape since last week. Watching the next one now for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, hope it's good for the 30th, going to the AAC for Trans-Siberian Orchestra

This system it's bringing it a little further south as has been the trend which is why we're under a WWA now. It hasn't updated to next week yet, still waiting.

If current model track and slowing down of upper low continue, DFW could see up to 6 inches of snow along with near Blizzard condictions
