It was a balmy 25 when my husband went to work this morning. Luckily, he only works about 5 miles away from here. He said the drive was like "an amusement park ride."

Dallas gets busted our share of times. Take this weekend for example, which can be considered a moderate bust for DFW after the predictions of 2-5" saturday.

Got a total of 8in of snow and its still on the ground,,,

We got 2" and I suspect it'll be on the ground all day since the high is 32 and it'll be cloudy. It'll probably melt on the rooftops though. Kids out here have school today. Good thing we got out yesterday to do some sledding.

Heck we got close to 4 inches here in Frisco, streets still mostly iced over in the neighborhood and Frisco ISD only got a delay, Plano ISD went on as normal with a reported 3 inches on the ground.

We got about 5 inches, and McKinney ISD canceled school for the day. I thought they would just delay it because that's how they usually roll. Guess someone really wanted to play in the snow today.

I've been there too Dustan, two or three years ago it snowed 8 inches in Denton and went all the way down to just east of central expy. By the time it got to Wylie, where I live then, just a cold rain. Snowed for 10 minutes and passed on into rain again. I wasn't a happy camper, lol.

I remember that storm, it was in March. I think that is the one you are referring to. It was crazy. There was actually thunder and lightning with it. It snowed so heavy that day. It normally took me 25min to get home, that day it took almost two hours!!!!!

The Canadian was the only model to pick up on the major nor'easter that will slam the NE U.S. this Tue night/Wed. GFS and Euro just drove the storm center out to sea after moving off the SC coast.

well I just got in from shoveling snow off my porch and sidewalk,,,never thought I would ever say that,,,its a work out to and I used a reg shovel,,sorry I just felt like rubbing in my 8in of snow for the guys that got none.,,,,BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Plano seldom closes. They are just to big and the schedules are already staggered, so a delay does them no good. Allen has a fraction of the schools Plano has and I saw first hand what the result of their delay was. Almost an hour to get my kid to high school. She only goes a half day (senior with a short day) Ugh!!!
