Snow Levels

#21 Postby aveosmth » Fri Nov 26, 2004 10:56 pm

I'm planning a turn-around trip to Las Vegas and the mets seem to think this will be a "warmer" storm than they first planned...any ideas on what snow levels will be looking at for L.A., San Bernardino & Clark Counties will be on Sunday morning???

I don't know about the Las Vegas area, BUT the mets out this way (San Diego NWS) seem to think snow levels may get down to 3500 to 4000 feet or so. Not as low as last time but still down to the Cajon Pass level, which is just over 4200 feet in elevation if I recall correctly.

Then once the storm passes overnight lows will be very chilly once again, dipping into the mid 20s in the Inland Empire and the mid 30s in some areas here in Orange County.

I dont think much in any way of snow levels dropping far down like last storm. Same wind, and possibly even more rain and tstorms, but not as low in snow levels.
