Up here the Dripping Springs areas from the humid tundra known as Corpus. The snow is a double bonus.

Headed to Magnolia.
Yep I also made the short trip up from Houston and it did not disappoint! Just a beautiful winter wonderland in College Station this afternoon! Several inches of snow on the ground with big flakes.

The 850 low is just west of Houston. As it passes by, the 850 temps will cool to below freezing. Thats when the changeover will occur for the rest of houston, unfortunately, we are running out of time

The snowless streak lives on for DFW imo
It’s truly unbelievable....looking at snow accumulation maps over past 5 years, there’s a massive snow hole sitting over DFW. Climatologically speaking, it’s the most deprived of anywhere in North America past 5 years

Less than 2 inches of very wet snow so far but roads are covered and small trees with leaves on them are snapping in half.

Yep not really gonna work out for us, may get a flurry or two but cold rain and soggy yards for weeks is what we end up with.

A heavy snow band just west of me developed, but is already dissipating.

Well done Haris and Brent! Beautiful pics and videos. Brent, your chase south turned out better than the one west. Nice work. Your next chase will require only a trip out your front door hopefully.

Yeah I had really considered going east and seeing it at night but I don't think I could have topped this to be in the daytime like this and the rates were blowing me away plus to be home by night lol. It looks like Waco reported 4-5 inches which is about double Abilene's chase too and that's about the tops of my snowstorms of the last 25 years tbh
But like I said earlier I so wish it had happened in the metroplex
It appears Stephenville was the winner at 8 inches..lucky dogs again lol

I see that both Houston airports (Bush & Hobby) are reporting mixed rain and snow. Here in SW Houston, shining my light across the back yard, I can see some very tiny "something" floating around. If that's snow, then you could put several on the head of a pin. Could just be small drops of drizzle. Temp down to 35 here.

If this is true, would this be the first time Dallas, Austin, and Houston have all reported snow in the same day? (even if trace amounts)

Don't forget Waco and San Antonio also. And numerous others. An amazing storm all around. I see what you mean though, it's gotta be a first Texas.

I would’ve mentioned San Antonio but I wasn’t sure if they had reported snow at the airport or not! Otherwise yeah, I’m wondering if all the major cities have gotten snow like this (Amarillo, Lubbock, Abeline included.)

Yep the San Antonio airport recorded 0.2 inch of snow today. Impressive storm to say the least!
