Yeah, Ice Storms are the worst you can get for Winter Weather, a few years ago, El Reno, OK had 2 Ice Storms a few weeks from each other

Yeah flizzard going on in the heart of the metroplex. Pretty distinguishable. Shows up well on radar.

FYI in world news massive volcanic eruption near Tonga in the South Pacific. One of the most intense we've seen via Satellite in a long while. This was likely a very quick explosive eruption.

We may see an inch or two here in my area. Nothing noteworthy. The trough being too far east is a big factor for our area. I enjoy the cold, but we all want a big winter storm before pattern flips to warm. Either neutral or negative pna would help us dramatically, but not as negative as December

Batteries exploded in my Ambient Weather 1400-IP, and replacement isn’t working, so I guess I will have to get a new weather station. Ugh.

Sorry to hear that.
Before that happened what was your highest wind gust? Mine looks to have been 35mph in the last 24 hours.

The complete opposite of La Nina. Warm in the Pac NW, cool and winter precip in the south/southeast. January has seen quite a reversal.

I never have luck with weather stations. Every single one I’ve ever owned has broke on me within a few weeks or months.

Definitely a lot less than it was here. Dusting is probably gonna be what we end up with. Nice appetizer but I'm gonna need a real snowstorm before winter is out. Least we beat the flizzard from New Years Day. Hopefully if end of next week doesnt pan out February will

Do you think we can keep this going rest of winter to give us a glimmer of hope for a better pattern that supports winter weather later on?
