Could be. Local NWS office is going along with MOS guidance, though the DFW office is undercutting MOS by 5 degrees or so.

With this light band of precip coming in on the radar, are we even going to be able to see it hit the ground or will the drizzle pick up a little more once it comes through?

Seems to me like all the precip is gone and the air is getting very very dry.

Time to pack a bag and head to Maui (that's in Hawaii for the geographically-challenged ;-) ) Lots of snow there from a storm that passed through on Tuesday. Here's a shot of the island from yesterday morning:

It's pretty freaking cold and windy here in Mesquite this morning with very light.....what I would classify as "unknown precipitation....flying around. I hope the roads dry out quickly before we freeze. There's no ice yet and the sidewalks are already beginning to dry out on campus.

Plip plop drip drop
The wintry weather has been a flop

The 12Z GFS suggests some possible wintry weather in W/Central TX next Wednesday with a rather chilly cold Upper Low heading in from our S and W. We shall see.

Has the look of a cold core LOW. Could be promising for much of Texas

It's small flakes but coming down fast as I drove from Denison to Sherman it lightened a little. Now I'm on US 82 heading west toward cook county getting an occasional snow flurry.

Awesome video - thanks for sharing! I was actually studying the historic solar minimum we are currently in and the impact on the weather when I stumbled onto Storm2K. I love the fact that JB incorporates some of that info into his video. If you folks don't know about solar minimums (specifically the Dalton and Maunder Minimums), it's very interesting to compare those to what's happening now with our lack of sunspots. Thanks again TeamPlayersBlue!

It's falling apart in the dry air so the lucky few should start squinting their eyes to pick up anything astray! The roads overall seem ok this morning, lets hope that continues into the evening. Roads have been dried out by the winds.

Anytime! Yeah the lack of solar sunspots has a significant impact on our weather. The Little ice age is a subject that fascinates me. I was obsessed with it for 6 months when i first found out it happened. The history channel had a great show on the subject a few years back that i watched numerous times

Edit: Also, the snow pack should be a bit further south from this current storm. This may help get the cold air headed a bit further south for us folks in tejas

Very interesting video, thanks!

EDIT: I shouldn't have watched it. Now I'm going to be glued to mini ice age articles and not get anything done! I'm guessing magnetic reversal plays a big part in ice ages?
