12Z GFS stronger/further southwest, digging s/w into the 4 corners area - this storm could become quite significant for the southern US if this trend continues

Certainly farther south and a bit faster than 00z. Taken together, 00z, 06z and 12z appear to be a positive trend with the GFS.

Remember that chart can not differentiate between snow/sleet/freezing rain. Use those snow clown maps with great caution.

Well said in comments above but I know it's just the 12z, however if that run comes anywhere near verifying we could see a MAJOR winter storm just north of the DFW Metroplex..

I wouldn't give this as much weight but the 12z euro ens package plus CMC yet again all weighted together makes me pause.. could be a wild week I'll post more thoughts later
