I thought this may be the case looking at sounding yesterday. Even HRRR is not picking any of the precip up. WWA are out for all of the OK side of the Red River. I wouldn't be surprised if those expand south some.
Yeah when I woke up to fog and 99% humidity I figured we might get some snow. Hope we at least get a dusting to an inch. Something better than nothing.

Never mind, just saw nws tweet about light to moderate dry snow falling.
Many sites to the west have snow observations. The band is coming into FW's radar and is likely the stuff that has been falling between WF to Abilene. Doesn't show up well on your typical view but it's so cold it's there.
RadarScope is the only app getting a decent reflection of the low level snow at the moment. Keeps building over the last 30 minutes.

I just saw that. Started just NW of McPherson.
Never recall ever seeing that warning growing up!
If only it would have sat and piled amounts.

No obvious flakes to report from North Dallas yet. Very cold though

Yeah it's getting more prominent on radarscope now. NW Fort Worth getting some soon. Might last a bit since WF and Abilene still getting and it's moving eastward.

Re: Texas Winter 2022-2023
HRRR appears to be doing well with temperature forecasts, which is not good. It has Houston down to 15 tomorrow morning with a high of 28. Got a bunch of 5-gal and 2-gal buckets down from the attic to fill with water once I shut if off this evening. Not worth taking a chance in a 1-story house with pipes in the attic that have questionable insulation. Hope I can turn the water back on Saturday afternoon, but it may be Sunday. I'll make the final determination whether to shut off or not at 8pm. If I don't shut it off, then I'll be getting up every 2-3 hours to run water through all faucets. Dripping won't cut it. May be able to run the hot water just a little opposite side of house from the main. That will keep the hot water pipe hot and should keep the cold water pipe next to it above freezing.

Just woke up and front is about to pass through here. Doesn’t look like I’ll be getting anything other than cold unfortunately. Leaving for Houston at noon to see family so hope there isn’t any issues precip wise

Let us know if/when it starts snowing inside. I was at my father's house in Ft. Worth back in 1979. Got down to single digits and I woke up to a very large icicle hanging from the wood window stool above my head. No heat in that room. No central heating at all. Was chilly.

I don't want to have snow inside! My house is being remodeled and everything would be ruined! I'd rather have the snow outside over inside!

The snow has been upgraded to legit flurries in N Fort Worth. No longer tiny grains.

Power just went out. I’m going to assume it’s wind related and not the grid already. Very light snow falling.
