I'd like to think so but I'm seeing EWX say that daytime heating is overpowering the evaporative cooling process for us. Stinks. :x

I'm thinking the same thing now about DFW. Temp at my house in north Richardson is now 39.6 and has climbed 3 degrees in the past hour.

Our precip will be coming after sundown. I think our chances of seeing some flakes are falling are decent.

Such pessimism :P. It wasn't supposed to do much in the Rio Grande valley or Austin region anyway, yet it is which is more than a bonus. 1-3 inches for DFW more to the red river im calling, book it

Any reports out of Kerrville or Junction? Both have been quite cold and had snow last I checked.

Per some NWS reports I'm seeing ... roughly 1-1.5 inches of a snow/sleet mix. Some roads/bridges are reported "slushy."

Twitter posts from Kerrville area says it is now snowing in San Antonio and multiple roads around Kerrville including I-10 have icy conditions. Here the sun is peeking thru.

Yeah, Wells Branch has had quite a bit of sunshine, but I think the clouds finally rolled in. I'm hoping for at least a little sleet mixed in with the rain, if it ever gets here.

I'm going buy a snowblower. I know there are lots of kids in the area that hope you are right and schools are closed or delayed.

Now just saw a post saying, Mid levels have warmed enough to keep everything rain/sleet. No snow in San Antonio. Even with surface temp at 27, all sleet in Kerrville.

I don't think school is going to be closed, maybe delayed...big maybe. But I do think we'll see some wintry stuff tonight.

Edit: Natlib better get ready it's coming to your doorstep in SJT! Pictures~

Well, the AWOS site at Horseshoe Bay is now reporting light snow. However, no reports from spotters to provide ground truth.

Lol, wow! Let's hope you are right. I am thinking that we'll see a dusting to an inch, but I am hoping 1-3 inches is right.

Well you all probably don't want to hear this.. but it appears temps are warming aloft. We are getting some precip again and it seems to be all light rain, no sleet, with current temp at 33. I was actually quite surprised this morning with the sleet as at onset we were still at 40 degrees.

I'm in Del Rio..

The rain has dropped our temp back to near freezing though
