Getting too north…

Hopefully the high-res runs help.

39F max at my house in Longview today and 33.6F currently. Dewpoint in the low-teen's and wind are low. SHV mentions morning temperatures lower than today. Wouldn't be surprised to see upper teen's in the morning.

Are you going to do a chase south or hope for the best in Tulsa? :D

I really need to stay here lol but we'll see

It's not the same on the road to me like even how much it snowed in KC. I mean I was bound and determined this morning I was coming home no matter what and got stuck in the parking lot of the hotel

There will be winners and losers with this system in terms of winter precipitation. So far, it looks somewhat better for my area but I ain't too excited yet lol. Hopefully we will have more opportunities later this month with better arctic air quality.

I tell you what looking at this pattern as some have discussed, I feel pretty good about an active setup that may deliver more snow and winter precip across more areas of the state. I think that system next week bears watching. Canadian already hinting at it and then perhaps the bottom drops and arctic air unloads down the plains. January could be an active month.

I wish everybody could jackpot. But that’s not the nature of winter storms since you need cold and moisture. With rain no cold needed.

It will still be an event for many. We don't get much snow, so any one event even 2-3" is highlight of a winter. If you asked any of us if we would take that before winter started we would take it in a heart beat. This is a significant winter wx event for the northern half of the state. Let's see what changes 0z has to offer. Advice still stands to not get emotionally involved in all aspects, at the end of the day it is just weather.

Tulsa only needs about 2 inches to be the best snowstorm in 3 years :spam: the bar is very low here

Isn't that sad?

We haven't had a snow storm either in Dallas since 2021. It's been sleet, and last winter lake effect snow! Same boat.

Be nice to see clouds roll in right before sun up. Maximum radiant cooling. I know it’s cirrus but every bit helps.
